For the sake of keeping this a “5 Things” article, I’m going to group brochures in this section. Two cost-effective strategies but very different approaches.
Flyers: single to double-sided less than a quarter-page in size. I consider a full page “flyer” a one-sheet (design geek). I believe flyers are most effective when handed off. Door spamming (cars or homes) will likely get your flyer tossed without a single look but if you have a high flyer count using 25% of your stock as door hangers wong hurt. It is best you research your demographic, and area income average when targeting locations for the best results.
Brochures usually consist of standard letter-sized paper with a double or trifold. Truthfully, the only thing that matters is the information and readability. A brochure should be focused and detailed regarding your service or product. Placement is important as you need them in places where people linger (offices, lobbies, waiting rooms, etc).
